Now accepting submissions for our November show. Subject matter is portraits or tasteful backsides. Work may be drawings,
paintings, sketches, sculpture, mixed media, conte crayon, charcoal, photography. Entries may be of varying sizes; The limit that each
artist may show is flexible, depending on the number of entries; if multiple entries are submitted but the wall space cannot
accommodate each piece, then the number of pieces will be reduced, as space may dictate. Work will be accepted starting
Wednesday, October 17, 2007. Deadline is Wednesday, October 31, 2007.
Fees:
1. Hanging fees apply for a 36 x 40 inch wall space. Hang as many as can fit in that space – do not count separation between
pieces when calculating fee – the gallery will hang the work with appropriate spacing.
2. You do not have to be a member to participate in open shows. Membership benefits do apply to members, and include reduced
hanging fees for all shows, entry into member shows and other benefits as may be available from time to time.

5. Unless other arrangements are made with the gallery, work must be picked up within 10 days from close of show. Work not picked
up WILL be sold by the gallery for storage costs. Please read this, as it is very serious – your art will be sold to the lowest bidder.

5. All work must be ready to hang.
6. Artist is responsible for costs getting work to gallery and back. Work must be picked up within 1 week of close of show

TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. Artist hereby represents and warrants: (a) that he/she is the author of the Work(s); (b) that the Work(s) is/are original work(s) of
authorship; (c) that the Work(s) does not infringe or violate any rights whatsoever of any other person or entity; and (d) that the Artist has
obtained any permissions, authorizations, waivers, releases, consents and/or licenses for any material included in the Work(s),
including without limitation any model release(s) or that no such permissions, authorizations, waivers, releases, consents and licenses
are required.
2. Artist hereby grants to MOCA DC (the "Gallery") an irrevocable, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use the Artist's name, likeness
and biographical information as well as photograph(s) of the Work(s) (collectively, the "Artist's Material"); such license shall include the
rights to reproduce, distribute, transmit, adapt, publicly display and publicly perform Artist's Material including as part of a CD
Compilation (the "Compilation") containing digital images and video of the Work(s) exhibited, photographs and video of the Artists
exhibited and a biographies of the Artists exhibited. Copies of the Compilation shall be offered for sale by the Gallery. Nothing herein
shall create any obligation on the part of the Gallery to use any of the Artist's Material.
3. All right, title and interest in and to the Compilation shall be the sole property of the Gallery. In this connection, the Gallery shall have
the exclusive rights throughout the world to register the copyright in the Compilation and to secure any and all applicable renewals and
extensions of such copyright. All right, title and interest in and to the Artist's Material (including, without limitation, all worldwide
copyrights therein,) is and shall remain the property of the Artist.
4. The determination of the price of the Work(s) shall rest solely with the Artist. The Gallery will not provide any recommendations with
respect to price of the Work(s). The Gallery shall retain twenty percent (20%) of the revenues received by the Gallery for the sale of any
work(s) and shall pay eighty percent (80%) of such revenues to the Artist.
5. The Gallery shall take reasonable steps to ensure the preservation and safekeeping of the Work(s); notwithstanding the foregoing,
the Gallery disclaims any liability for any loss or damage to the Work(s) while in the possession of the Gallery.
